Senior AWS Engineer - CI / CD Pipeline

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Implementation : Lead the architecture and implementation of cloud-native, scalable, and resilient applications using AWS, with an emphasis on serverless and event-driven design patterns.
• AWS Services Expertise : Build robust solutions utilizing core AWS services such as Lambda , API Gateway , S3 , DynamoDB , Step Functions , SQS , AppSync , Amazon Pinpoint , and Cognito .
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Use AWS CDK to define and manage infrastructure. Promote and maintain automated deployments with AWS CodePipeline .
• Serverless & Event-Driven Architecture : Advocate and implement serverless design and event-driven paradigms to build decoupled and efficient systems.
• Monitoring & Observability : Implement observability using CloudWatch , AWS X-Ray , and custom metrics to ensure application performance and rapid issue resolution.
• Security & Compliance : Apply stringent security practices including IAM role boundaries, PHI / PII tagging, Cognito configuration, KMS encryption, isolation patterns, and HIPAA compliance enforcement.
• Cost Optimization : Identify cost-saving opportunities such as S3 lifecycle policies , usage of serverless pricing tiers , and intelligent service selections (e.g., Pinpoint vs SES ).
• Scalability & Resilience : Engineer fault-tolerant systems leveraging auto-scaling, DLQs , retry / backoff mechanisms, and circuit breakers .
• CI / CD Pipeline Development : Contribute to the evolution of CI / CD pipelines , ensuring streamlined, automated deployments across environments.
• Documentation & Workflow Design : Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation covering architecture, workflows, and operational standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
• AWS Best Practices : Champion the use of AWS best practices in all development, deployment, and operational processes.
