Role Summary :
- We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-oriented Senior IT Sales Manager to drive significant revenue growth within the Government, Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), Large Enterprise, and Data Center segments.
- The ideal candidate must possess a proven 8+ year track record in managing multiple large key accounts, coupled with the technical knowledge to position complex IT infrastructure and data center solutions.
- This role is based in Delhi and requires a strong leader capable of independent deal structuring and strategic relationship building.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Key Account Management & Revenue Generation Key Account Ownership : Independently manage and grow a portfolio of medium to large key accounts across the Government, PSU, and Private Enterprise sectors.
Result Orientation : Achieve and consistently exceed aggressive sales targets for both IT Hardware, Software, and Services / Maintenance Contracts. Concept Selling : Drive sales of complex, conceptual solutions rather than just products, focusing on the long-term value proposition for the client's IT modernization and digital transformation initiatives.Strategic Deal Structuring : Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, specializing in structuring large, multi-year deals, including bidding, negotiation, and contract finalization.2. Technical Solution Positioning Core Product Knowledge : Possess basic yet comprehensive technical knowledge to effectively position and sell the following solution categories : Power Solutions : UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), precision cooling, and critical power infrastructure.
Data Center Infrastructure : Racks, power distribution units (PDUs), monitoring solutions, and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management). Core IT : Servers (x86 and specialized), storage solutions (SAN, NAS, Object Storage), Virtualization, and Cloud services. Networking & Security : Enterprise-grade networking hardware (Switches, Routers, WLAN) and cybersecurity solutions (Firewalls, Endpoint Security, UTM). Pre-Sales Collaboration : Work closely with the Pre-Sales and Technical teams to translate customer business requirements into accurate and compelling technical proposals.3. Relationship Management & Ecosystem Leverage Government / PSU & Enterprise Focus : Demonstrate a strong working history and existing, credible relationships with key decision makers and procurement authorities within Government / PSU bodies and large Enterprise / Corporate clients. OEM / Partner Relationships : Maintain and leverage strong relationships with major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and principal vendors in the IT Infrastructure space to secure best pricing, technical support, and partnership status for large deals. Ecosystem Expertise : Understand the tender process, L1 bidding mechanisms, and compliance requirements specific to public sector procurement.
4. Leadership & Processes Sales Processes : Establish and enforce rigorous sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM discipline to ensure accurate forecasting and operational efficiency. Team Influence : Provide informal leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior sales team members, promoting best practices in strategic sales and relationship management.
Required Qualifications & Experience Experience :
Minimum of 8+ years of dedicated, relevant experience in IT Sales, with a significant track record in managing large accounts and complex IT infrastructure deals.Domain Focus (Mandatory) : Proven experience in selling IT hardware, services, and complex solutions (UPS, Data Centers, Servers, Storage, Networking, Security) to Government / PSU and Large Corporate / Enterprise customers.Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration.
