We are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with 4–5 years of hands-on experience to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical Oracle databases while supporting development and operations teams across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases (versions 12c, 19c or later) across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor and tune database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and other tools.
- Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning using RMAN and Data Guard.
- Ensure database security and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Manage database storage, partitions, indexes, tablespaces, and other schema objects.
- Develop and automate scripts for routine maintenance, monitoring, and deployment.
- Work closely with application teams to support SQL tuning, schema design, and query optimization.
- Perform root cause analysis for database-related issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Manage user access, roles, and privileges; enforce least-privilege security models.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support database incidents as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
4–5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture, internals, and advanced features.Hands-on experience with RMAN , Oracle Data Guard , Oracle RAC (optional but preferred).Proficiency in PL / SQL , SQL scripting , and database performance tuning.Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar tools.Knowledge of Unix / Linux shell scripting and working in a Linux / Unix environment.Solid understanding of backup and recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning.Familiarity with security best practices, auditing, and encryption in Oracle.Skills Required
