The Opportunity : Your Role
We are seeking highly motivated and empathetic Academic Counsellors to join our sales team. As an Academic Counsellor, you will be the first point of contact for college aspirants, guiding them through the complex landscape of higher education. Your primary responsibility will be to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and present our customized counselling services as the ideal solution to their challenges. This is a sales-oriented role, where your success will be measured by your ability to convert inquiries into sales while maintaining the highest standards of customer trust and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting Sales Calls : Initiate and manage a high volume of outbound sales calls to prospective students who have shown interest in our services.
- Needs Analysis : Engage in active listening and use a consultative sales approach to deeply understand the student's academic background, interests, career aspirations, and concerns.
- C ounselling and Guidance : Provide accurate and relevant information on a wide range of UG and PG courses, colleges, and admission processes in India.
- S olution Pitching : Effectively articulate the value of BoostMyTalent's services, tailoring the pitch to address the specific needs and pain points identified during the conversation.
- Objection Handling : Address and overcome prospect objections related to cost, value, and need for the service with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset.
- Achieving Sales Targets : Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- CRM Management : Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and sales activities in our CRM system.
- Collaboration : Work closely with various identified Colleges to help students through the admission process.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
Minimum 2 years' experience with a proven success record in sales or counselling role. Experience in education, or a related field is a plus.Bachelor's degree in any disciplineExcellent verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. Knowledge of other regional Indian languages is a significant advantage.Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and trust over the phone.A high degree of empathy and patience, with a genuine desire to help students.Exceptional listening skills and the ability to ask the right questions to uncover needs.Familiarity with the Indian education system, including key entrance exams (e.g., JEE, NEET, CUET, etc.), is preferred.Why Join BoostMyTalent
