About the Role
Establish, monitor and continuously improve Varroc Quality Management System by maintaining certification requirements of customers and third-party agencies. Ensure customer satisfaction and supplier performance improvements through plant quality tests. Facilitate continuous internal quality process and system improvements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor review activities to sustain certification requirements of the customers, including self-audits and audits by customers.
- Facilitate certification by external third-party agencies such as International Automotive Task Force (IATF) through yearly plant surveillance audits.
- Coordinate observations from all plant audits through Plant QA Lead and Plant Head for reporting and submission to the customer.
- Manage customer complaints through supervision of plant quality leads, including implementation of corrective actions to ensure issues are not repeated.
- Manage warranty cost reduction by implementing system improvements to reduce early failure rate of parts.
- Manage customer satisfaction scores improvement through reduction or rejection reduction PPM (parts per million - internal, external).
- Participate in meetings with customer quality assurance representatives.
- Develop quality management processes as per the requirement of the customer for the new part.
- Ensure submission of production part approval process by overseeing testing with R&D and ME and participating in weekly reviews.
- Ensure continuous improvement to quality by overseeing kaizens, and other improvement techniques, throughout the product life.
- Design mechanism for component testing and process testing and implement in plants.
- Oversee plant quality leads to conduct testing on the line and final inspection of parts.
- Enforce mechanism to improve supplier performance, including any major supplier issues which are affecting part quality and customer matrix.
- Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent across positions within the function.
- Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team.
- Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance functional knowledge.
Qualifications
BE / Diploma - Mechnical / Production / Automobile with 15+ years of experience.
