We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead overall site operations for a chemical manufacturing facility . The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end plant performance including production, process optimization, safety, quality, maintenance, and manpower management .
This is a key leadership role accountable for ensuring smooth plant operations, driving continuous improvement, maintaining regulatory compliance, and achieving productivity and cost-efficiency targets. The position demands strong technical expertise in chemical process manufacturing and proven experience in leading cross-functional plant teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee entire site operations including production, engineering, EHS, and quality functions.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing as per statutory and company standards.
- Drive production planning, process control, and resource optimization to meet business objectives.
- Implement and monitor plant performance metrics (OEE, yield, downtime, cost efficiency) .
- Foster a strong safety and compliance culture aligned with EHS regulations and best practices.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational losses.
- Coordinate with supply chain, R&D, and quality teams for seamless execution of manufacturing schedules.
- Ensure effective manpower planning, skill development, and team motivation across departments.
- Manage statutory inspections, audits, and compliance documentation .
- Represent the site in corporate and regulatory reviews, driving operational excellence initiatives.
Key Requirements :
Education : B.E. / B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering.Experience : Minimum 15+ years in chemical process manufacturing , with at least 5 years in a plant leadership or site management role.Strong understanding of batch and continuous chemical processes, safety systems, and regulatory norms .Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale plant operations.Demonstrated experience in EHS, productivity improvement, and cost control initiatives .Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
