Role Details

Established in 1897, Sacred Heart College is a co-educational Catholic college in the Marist tradition, nurturing both day and boarding students’ holistic needs from Years 7 to 12, across two campuses.

Applications are invited from educators for the following position :

Special Education Teacher

• Champagnat Campus Years 7 to 9
• Permanent 1.00 FTE substantive teaching position
• Qualifications and experience in Special Education desirable but not essential
• Commencing in January 2026

The Special Education Teacher will work with a team of educators including Education Support Officers and Allied Health Providers who facilitate learning and engagement. The Special Education Teacher will work closely with the Learning Enrichment Team to design, implement and evaluate student learning.

Sacred Heart College is committed to supporting and providing teachers with relevant professional learning opportunities to support their teaching practice. Graduate teachers are welcome to apply.

The successful applicant must also complete our child-safe screening processes, including holding a Working with Children Clearance.
