MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :
- BA / BS degree with an emphasis in Design, HCI, Human Factors or equivalent experience
- 9+ years of hands-on product design experience
- A strategic perspective about product development; an understanding of not just how a product should look, but what and why we should build in the first place
- Experience on teams that have created new products as well as improved existing ones (and a track record for making measurable improvements)
- Significant experience developing consumer and / or commercial web application interfaces and mobile experiences (native apps, responsive web designs, etc.)
- Expert level understanding of the best practices and tools used in user-centered interaction design.
- An intuition for what makes a good user-experience
- Significant experience creating a variety of UX documents (personas, wireframes, story-mapping, etc.) and an understanding of when / if they should be used
- A collaborative spirit and a desire to work as a team player on a close-knit team
- A great online portfolio with more than just visuals. It should showcase your thought process and your ability to take projects from conception to completion along with measurable results
- Significant experience usability testing your ideas (preferred, not required)
- HTML / CSS / JS knowledge (preferred, not required)
- Experience within an Agile (Scrum) development team
- Demonstrates and articulates an understanding of layout, typography and visual hierarchy
- Possess front end development acumen in order to effectively communicate with engineering partners and push forward innovative solutions
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Act as a strategic partner with Product Owners and company-wide leadership to determine the Mindbody product roadmapCollaborates with Product Owners, Product Designers, UX Writers, Researchers, Product Marketers, and Developers to build products that have excellent user experiencesMentor and coach Designers to develop their skillsAdvocate and promote Product Design best practices and standards (this may include educational opportunities, like hosting workshops or trainings)Visualize complex sets of data so they re understandable and meaningfulAdvocate for and ensure aesthetic consistency, brand identity, and best-in-class interaction design throughout all customer touchpointsAll other duties as assignedSkills Required
