This is an authoritative professional position & will contribute to the FACTS Projects in Grid Technology, Crafting documents like design reports, test reports and operation & maintenance manuals Read, analyze and interpret power system event records. Engineering of control logics & programs for different FACTS solutions. Adequate knowledge on Closed Loop Control Systems Work closely with other team members for development of solutions and testing & commissioning of systems-Understanding the behavior of different types of FACTS devices and their roles in the power system will be a crucial part of the work. Analog to digital converters & fiber optics. Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, Impart training to external parties like clients

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Be willing to take over roles of other team members if the situation demands.
  • You should have a sound knowledge of electrical power systems theory and practice.
  • Understanding the behavior of power systems during transient and sub-transient conditions, different types of FACTS devices and their roles in the power system will be a crucial part of the work.
  • Programming tools (e.g., SIMATIC Manager, Python, MATLAB etc)
  • Programmable Logic Controllers like Siemens platforms using SIMATIC TDC)
  • Commissioning the FACTS installations at site in India and abroad.
  • Usually, the duration for site deputation is 5-6 months continuous. The facilities at site available would be basic in nature. Accommodation and transport will be mostly shared type.

What You Bring

  • Configuration of hardware / software used for control systems. Should have adequate knowledge on electrical substation components.
  • Crafting documents like design reports, test reports, and operation & maintenance manuals. After sales support for already commissioned systems
  • Knowledge on different communication protocols like IEC61850, IEC-104, IEC-101, DNP3.0, Modbus, etc. Knowledge of different cyber security measures Knowledge of IT networking
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (preferably Siemens platforms using SIMATIC TDC)
  • Knowledge of SICAM Device Manager / Tool box, WinCC, HMI. Knowledge of SICAM A8000 Hardware and its configuration.
  • Should have no reservations on travelling to sites, some of which are in remote locations. The sites can be located in India or foreign countries.
  • Commissioning the FACTS installations at site in India and abroad.
  • Be ready to travel at short notice Usually, the duration for site deputation is 5-6 months continuous. The facilities at site available would be basic in nature. Accommodation and transport will be mostly shared type.
