Techno Functional- Balance Sheet Manager

Skill Set Required

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in relevant subject (i.e. Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance etc.)
  • Any Globally recognized Financial certification would be an added advantage (e.g. CFA / FRM)
  • 15+ years of experience as a Functional Technical Data Analyst in banking or financial services, with a focus on ALM and LRM systems / data marts.
  • Implementation experience across at-least 2 major Balance sheet manager solutions.
  • Familiarity preferably with FIS.
  • Experience implementing and analyzing large data warehouses and data sets and with ETL / ELT design and testing
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and risk management frameworks.
  • Proficient in data analysis, querying skills and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Business Intelligence platforms i.e. Power BI, SAS EG, Qlikview).
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

Key Experience required

  • Senior Techno Functional analyst with 15+ years of experience in the Risk Management domain with experience of Balance sheet management solution implementation with strong back ground in the area of Risk and Finance.
  • Should have experience of at-least two system implementations in a banking environment with mainstream BSM Solutions (preferably FIS, OFSAA, QRM, Moodys, etc).
  • Provide functional knowledge for ALM / LRM / PRRBB domains and consult on business rules (for CB BRFs such as BRF9,11,14 and 49 and others), LCR, NSFR, Risk Processes such as Stress Testing, support in data discovery, analysis of proposed data mappings and data cleansing including defining / refining associated business processes for Data
  • Should also have a deep understanding of ALM, LRM, FTP system modules including cashflow engine and know-how of how to resolve data challenges, system challenges and how to test to the satisfaction of the end users.
  • Play a key role in Data discovery, Data analysis, Data Testing, Reconciliation, Configuration and Data Cleaning activities ensuring effective implementation and testing of Balance sheet manager system.
  • Perform data review, reconciliation and validation of all on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet data
  • Support the data validation and traceability from source systems (T24, Card system, LMS, EGL, Flex 12.3, others) to CDR to risk data mart
  • Support the data validation and traceability from customer Entities / Subsidiaries source systems (Flex, others) to the respective CDR to Group risk data mart
  • Skills

  • Ability to use risk measurement tools & to validate the measurements.
  • Ability to convey complex issues and solutions in a clear and understandable way.
  • Ability to liaise with internal / external stakeholders efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to Identify and define problems and draw valid and effective solutions
  • Technical proficiency in data extraction and analysis tools
  • Experience working with dimensional data, data lakes is a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and reports.
  • Understanding of financial instruments and risk metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to get hands-on in a complex operational environment
  • Must be process orientated and a logical thinker with good attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of SQL and basic programming skills in Python / others are expected. Knowledge of Bloomberg / Reuters an added advantage
