Job Description : Machine Learning Engineer

Vision :

To enhance the machine learning and data science ecosystem at Shiprocket by designing and developing robust machine learning and deep learning applications and systems :

to solve complex problems with multilayered data set
to build efficient artificial intelligence systems
to create predictive automated workflows

Role :

The role is to work with the Engineering and Data Science team to study, develop and improve machine learning and artificial intelligence systems and applications. It requires solving complex business problems consisting of multiple products used by different internal and external users. Collaboration is expected with multiple stakeholders including data scientists, data engineers, system architects, and business teams.

Responsibilities :

Study, develop and improve data science prototypes and apply machine learning algorithms and tools

Design and develop applications backed by machine learning, LLM, and artificial intelligence

Implement machine learning algorithms to create end-to-end scalable solutions (batched and real-time)

Perform monitoring, logging, A / B testing, and load testing on implemented solutions

Extend existing ML / AI libraries and frameworks

Follow, contribute, and promote best practices in machine learning and artificial engineering

Knowledge sharing and mentoring the teams

Autonomy :

Create a technology roadmap for the machine learning ecosystem

Enhance machine learning capabilities

Motivate and train team members

Identify new technologies and build and present rapid prototypes

Requirements :

Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics

2 - 4 Years of hands-on experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role

Strong working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and system architecture

Hands-on experience in writing robust code in Python or Java
