Roles & Responsibilities : -
1. Strategic Planning : Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies aligned with the company's long-term vision and objectives, ensuring optimal resource allocation and competitive positioning.

Critical Tasks (Key Activities) : -
- Cash flow assessment & capital structure – Lead and support fundraising initiatives in collaboration with the organization’s Treasury & Finance departments
- Develop cash-flow projections for the organization & evaluate funding options including equity, debt & other instruments
- Proficiency in evaluating and interpreting key financial ratios & liquidity management
- Develop understanding of the economics of Strategic Projects (Capex, EBITDA, Working Capital requirement, IRR etc.) and impact on the cash-flow for the organization
- Evaluate funding options, coordinate due diligence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and capital requirements.
- Monitor progress of fundraising campaigns and maintain relations with key investors to promote long-term strategic funding partnerships
- Act as a SPOC for both parent companies and align on the objectives & key fund raise philosophy
- Strategic Projects –
- In collaboration with organization’s PMO team, oversee tracking of strategic and operational projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Analyze project timelines, budgets, and expenditures, directly assessing their impact on company cash flows and overall financial health.
- Communicate progress reports and cash flow impact analyses to senior management, recommending corrective actions to address deviations and maximize resource efficiency.
- Market & Competition –
- Provide regular, actionable market intelligence updates by monitoring industry trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and present strategic recommendations to address competitive threats and identify business growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer and business units to refine competitive strategies, ensuring the organization maintains and enhances its market leadership position.
Support activities :
Mergers & Acquisitions –Support activities pertaining to end-to-end M&A lifecycle including target identification, evaluation, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration planning.Collaborate closely with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, and operational teams to conduct due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and synergy assessment.Support strategic inorganic growth by sourcing acquisition opportunities aligned with corporate strategy, preparing investment cases, and facilitating seamless post-merger integration to maximize shareholder value and business performance.Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Chief Strategy Officer and executive committee regarding M&A pipeline and transaction status.Cost optimization –Support identification & implementation of cost optimization initiatives across business units by analyzing existing cost structures, operational efficiencies, and vendor contractsPartner with finance and performance management teams to develop actionable plans aimed at reducing costs while maintaining or improving service quality and performance.Track outcomes of cost-saving measures and report their impact on profitability and cash flow to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to institutionalize cost discipline and promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.Education Qualification & Certifications :
MBA from any of the Top 10 B-Schools / CA
Relevant Experience : -
12-14 years of professional experience, preferably in steel or related industries / top tier consulting firmsProven middle management / leadership accomplishments
