Lead Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Engineer to spearhead our data and application migration projects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of cloud migration strategies, especially with AWS, and hands-on experience in large-scale migration initiatives. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a keen understanding of both the source and target platforms.

Responsibilities

• Proven experience in leading data migration projects and migrating applications, services, or data to cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Knowledge of migration tools such as AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), AWS Migration Hub
• Expertise in data mapping, validation, transformation, and ETL processes
• Proficiency in Python, Java or similar programming languages.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, PowerShell, or Bash
• Cloud Technologies (AWS focus) : Strong knowledge of AWS services relevant to data migration (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda, RDS, DMS, Glue).
• Experience in working with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI / CD) and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Experience in database management and migrating relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
