Summary :
This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing time series forecasting models within the Galileo framework, leveraging machine learning, advanced statistical techniques, and data-driven insights to enhance financial planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and enhance time series forecasting models within the Galileo framework to improve financial planning accuracy.
- Analyze large, complex datasets and deliver clear, data-driven insights to Finance and Strategy leaders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance drivers and align on business trends.
- Use Python, SQL, and BI tools to develop scalable solutions and integrate forecasts into planning systems.
- Experiment with new ML / AI techniques to advance forecasting capabilities and drive innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (STEM); advanced degree a plus.years in data science, ML, or advanced analytics with hands-on forecasting experience.Strong skills in Python, especially for time-series modeling and predictive analytics.Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery is preferred) and working with large datasets.Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for visualization and insights.Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; able to explain analytics clearly to business partners.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate across global time zones.Top skills :
