Role Overview
As a Data Scientist III, you will be part of the Data Science team working on challenging problems like fraud detection, inventory optimisation, and platform vernacularization. You will navigate uncharted territories, discovering new paths to creating solutions for users in an untapped market. Your primary responsibility will be enhancing the productivity and utilisation of generated data while working closely with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop models and run experiments to infer insights from hard data
- Improve product usability and identify new growth opportunities
- Understand reseller preferences to provide them with the most relevant products
- Design discount programs to help resellers sell more
- Help resellers better recognise end-customer preferences to improve their revenue
- Use data to identify bottlenecks that will help suppliers meet their SLA requirements
- Model seasonal demand to predict key organisational metrics
- Mentor junior data scientists in the team
- Transform scattered pieces of information into valuable data
- Share and present valuable insights with peers
Requirements
Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science or similar degree4-7 years of experience as a Data Scientist in a fast-paced organisation, preferably B2CFamiliarity with Neural Networks, Machine LearningFamiliarity with tools like SQL, R, PythonStrong understanding of Statistics and Linear AlgebraStrong understanding of hypothesis / model testing and ability to identify common model testing errorsExperience designing and running A / B tests and drawing insights from themProficiency in machine learning algorithmsExcellent analytical skills to fetch data from reliable sources to generate accurate insightsMandatory Requirements
