Job Description : Lead Specialist / Deputy Manager / Manager – Insurance Broking
We are seeking a talented professional to join our Insurance Broking team . This role can be based in Mumbai or Pune with a hybrid work model (minimum three days a week in the office).
This position involves supporting onshore broking teams across client service, technical support, administration, and business development, ensuring efficient end-to-end management throughout the insurance lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Assist broking teams in developing, implementing, and managing risk management and insurance programs to address client needs.
- Build and manage strong, long-term client relationships with key decision-makers.
- Understand client businesses, risk exposures, and insurance needs.
- Support renewal and broking strategies as per client requirements.
- Contribute to new business acquisition while nurturing existing client portfolios.
- Support account retention and claim negotiation processes.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in outputs from operations and processing teams.
- Participate in client and insurer meetings as required.
Administration and Technical Support
Ensure timely and accurate production of all client documentation including premiums, adjustments, certificates, renewal reports, and insurance manuals.Liaise with operations teams for smooth work transitions, verifying accuracy and quality of deliverables.Maintain accurate and updated client records.Possess strong understanding of major classes of insurance and relevant legislation.Apply compliance and quality standards consistently across all deliverables.Assist in developing and implementing process improvements and leveraging technology tools.Qualification and Experience Requirements
Graduate with 6+ years of insurance broking or underwriting experience.Prior experience in general insurance or financial lines in broking / underwriting preferred.Professional Insurance Certifications (any of the following highly desirable) :CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, USA)CII (Chartered Insurance Institute, UK) – Diploma / Advanced Diploma in InsuranceIII (Insurance Institute of India) – Licentiate / Associateship / Fellowship qualifications (India equivalent)Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or Financial Services preferred.Understanding of global insurance practices, legislation, and compliance standards.Willingness to work in early shift timings (6 : 30 am – 3 : 30 pm IST) .Key Competencies
