About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Laravel and PHP to maintain and migrate existing applications into a React Native environment . This role requires not only strong technical skills but also the ability to work within a team , write clear documentation , and leave well-noted code so other developers can continue the project smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Laravel & PHP .
  • Design and document REST APIs to support React Native front-end applications.
  • Migrate legacy PHP / Laravel systems into scalable, modular structures.
  • Write well-documented code with clear notes and comments for team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and mobile engineers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Implement secure authentication, caching, and performance optimization .
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor team members on backend best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of backend development experience with Laravel & PHP .
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture , Eloquent ORM , Blade templates, and Laravel ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL (database design, query optimization).
  • Ability to create clean, documented, and maintainable code .
  • Familiarity with React Native or React.js (to support integration / migration projects).
  • Experience with Git, CI / CD pipelines, Docker, or cloud environments .
  • Excellent English communication skills , both written and verbal.
  • Team-oriented mindset with proven collaboration skills.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience migrating from monolithic to microservices .
  • Exposure to Node.js or other modern backend frameworks.
  • Knowledge of mobile app performance optimization .
