F5 Engineer

An F5 Engineer with SDN expertise is responsible for design, implementation, and troubleshooting of F5 BIG-IP solutions in a software-defined networking (SDN) environment.

Requires strong knowledge of F5 technologies like LTM, GTM, and ASM, as well as experience with SDN concepts & technologies such as OpenFlow, OpenStack, or VMware NSX.

• Implement F5 solutions, including load balancing, traffic management, and application security within an SDN environment.
• Design F5 solutions expertise is highly desirable.
• Integrate F5 devices with SDN controllers and orchestrators to automate network provisioning, policy enforcement, and resource allocation.
• Efficient in diagnosing & resolving complex network & application issues related to F5 and SDN infrastructure, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.
• Manage F5 configurations, implement changes to optimize performance and security in the SDN environment.
• Utilize monitoring tools to analyze traffic patterns, application performance, and resource utilization within the SDN environment , recommend & optimize accordingly.
• Implementing security measures such as SSL offloading, web application firewalls (WAF), and DDoS protection on F5 devices within the SDN context
• Able to understand & work closely with other teams app developers & ensure seamless integration of F5 solutions within the SDN infrastructure
• Highly efficient in creating & maintaining technical documentation, including LLD, configuration guides, and operational procedures, related to F5 and SDN.
