A mid-size law firm is seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Executive / Manager to support its Litigation and Non-Litigation practices. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business leads, managing client relationships, preparing proposals, and enhancing the firm's market visibility. The role requires strong coordination with partners, understanding of legal service offerings, and the ability to translate market opportunities into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development – Litigation
- Identify new opportunities in commercial disputes, arbitration, recovery matters, regulatory matters, real estate matters and civil disputes.
- Prepare litigation-specific pitch decks, capability statements, and credentials.
- Support partners during client meetings, hearings-related follow-ups, and dispute strategy briefings (non-legal involvement).
- Track potential matters, empanelment opportunities, and tender invitations.
- Maintain case / matter outcomes and highlights for BD use.
2. Business Development – Non-Litigation (Corporate / Advisory)
Support corporate, commercial contracts, real estate, IP, employment, compliance, and due diligence practice areas.Generate leads through industry mapping, referrals, networking, and existing client cross-selling.Prepare proposals, RFP responses, and service offerings for corporate clients and SMEs.Track market developments and regulatory updates relevant to advisory work.3. Marketing & Client Engagement
Develop marketing materials : presentations, brochures, newsletters, case studies, and website content.Organize client events, seminars, workshops, and digital campaigns.Strengthen client relationships through regular communication and feedback loops.Enhance the firm's brand across digital channels, directories, and legal rankings.4. Research & Strategy
Conduct competitor analysis, sector research, and client profiling.Support partners in pricing strategies, fee quotes, and BD planning.Track BD metrics, maintain CRM data, and prepare monthly performance reports.Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).3–7 years of BD experience in a law firm or professional services environment.Understanding of both litigation and advisory services.Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.Experience with drafting proposals, pitches, and marketing materials.Good understanding of digital marketing.Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work closely with partners.Key Attributes
