About the Role :

CrowdStrike is in search of an Engineer III to join our growing Virtualization team. The candidate will play an important role in engineering and maintaining solutions for our virtualization environments.

What Youll Do :

Support large-scale production deployments for on-prem virtualization infrastructure

Open Source Virtualization and VMWare administration supporting thousands of virtual machines

Linux engineering and administration

Monitoring maintenance and operation of a production environment

Troubleshoot server hardware issues

Automate common tasks deploy with an IaaS model utilize chef or similar

On-call rotation with other team members

Familiarity with public cloud and cloud administration concepts

Ability to write simple to moderately complex scripts and programs for automation tools frameworks dashboards alarms. (common uses : Python Perl PHP JavaScript Go)

What Youll Need :

5 years of experience working in a large scale production environment

Bachelors degree and / or equivalent experience in Computer related field

Expertise with virtualization administration preferably OpenStack VMWare FreeBSD Storage Area Networks in a clustered environment

Expertise with OpenStack Nova Juju Charms etc.

Expertise with Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal and virtual machinesOccasional business related travel for group meetings

Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions worldwide as part of a team

Must be able to work with a distributed team in multiple time zones

Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to make good timely decisions

Demonstrate self-learning capabilities working in a fast pace / quickly changing environment

Chef Python Go etc. experience a plus
