Job Description
The Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Analyst is crucial in delivering global supplier manufacturing readiness for Tier 1 suppliers from a supply chain logistics perspective and ensuring successful launches at North American plants. This position demands strategic thinking, effective leadership, and the capability to manage multiple launches simultaneously across various plants and suppliers. In addition to launch readiness, the position will also execute the new Q1 / Materials Management Operations Guideline 4th edition supplier compliance process working closely with Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Launch Readiness reviews / audits with suppliers for new model programs (VO / PTO NA) at on-site or Webex
- Clear documentation of findings & analysis in Super G system
- Lead evaluation of suppliers for Ford Plants' Capacity Uplifts & Shift additions
- Rate supplier's readiness for each program and ensure 100% audits are completed 30 days prior to MP1
- Perform risk analysis and act on findings within the Technical Teams and Forums for new, critical or greenfield / brownfield suppliers
- Collaborate with STA / Purchasing to ensure supplier noncompliance issues pertaining to launch readiness are escalated on time & resolved
- Onsite MP&L support, assistance, education and training for distressed suppliers.
- Root cause analysis in super G to understand and work with suppliers to improve delivery performance
- Collaborate with Purchasing on Sourcing / Resourcing Actions
- MP&L lead for Ford supplier engagement teams.
- Support current production in emergency situations with onsite reviews and / or extended onsite MP&L support.
- Work with STA and Purchasing on distressed suppliers' performance improvement
- Identify / implement any areas for cost improvement during supplier on-site reviews.
- Address any SUPER-G related issues and improvements to SUPER-G IT and Global SMRT team
- Establish work and process standards and expectations for the assigned suppliers
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering4+ years of experience in in OEM or Tier1 company, with a preference for the automotive industryDetailed understanding of supply chain operations (supplier release, packaging, logistics, follow-up etc.)Functional understanding of overall Material Planning & Logistics business practices and supporting systems.Self-motivator / self-starter with proven ability to coach and teach.Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and participate in cross-functional forums. Strong leadership behaviors, with a systemic process oriented mindset.Represent Ford Motor Company at the supplier's siteOperational experience with CMMS (Common Material Management System) preferredStrong supply chain, supplier performance and / or plant experience preferredPrior manufacturing or plant experience in planning, scheduling or on-floor activities preferred.Specialized Skills – Desired
Masters Degree PreferredStrong Data Analytical Skills to gather data from multiple sources to identify root causes, trends & insights and recommend operational improvements on Supplier Delivery PerformanceStrong story telling capabilities with data to enable data driven decision making benefiting the OrganizationKnowledge in Data Analytics tools like Alteryx, Qlik Sense, PowerBIOther Information :
Working hours will be aligned North American Region time zones. 4.30 PM to 2.00 AM
