We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Control Engineer to design, develop, install, and maintain instrumentation and control systems used in industrial and process environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that control systems function reliably, safely, and efficiently to support continuous operations and production goals.
This role involves working with sensors, control valves, PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and other automation technologies across a range of industries such as oil & gas, power generation, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and chemical processing.
- Design and develop instrumentation and control systems, including control panels, field instrumentation, signal wiring, and automation logic.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot programs for PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems from vendors such as Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider Electric, or Emerson.
- Specify, select, and calibrate field instruments including transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, pressure gauges, and level indicators.
- Integrate control systems with existing equipment and ensure interoperability between electrical, mechanical, and software components.
- Perform loop checks, functional tests, and system commissioning for instrumentation and control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve control system issues and instrumentation faults in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Prepare technical documentation including wiring diagrams, instrument data sheets, logic diagrams, and operation manuals.
- Ensure systems comply with applicable industry standards (ISA, IEC, IEEE), safety codes, and environmental regulations.
- Support capital projects and upgrades by contributing to scope development, cost estimates, and project execution plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, energy efficiency, and reliability through automation and process optimization.
