Key Responsibilities :
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare detailed E&I cost estimates including material, labor, testing, commissioning, and subcontracting based on RFQs, drawings, and tender documents.
- Analyze technical specifications and scope of work from clients (government or private).
- Prepare quantity take-offs (QTOs), BOQs, and pricing sheets for MCCs, PLC / SCADA, power / control cables, lighting, grounding, etc.
- Evaluate vendor / supplier quotes for electrical panels, transformers, VFDs, field instruments, PLC / DCS systems, etc.
- Factor in local codes, safety standards, and utility norms in pricing.
Proposal Development
Work closely with proposal teams, designers, and procurement to develop techno-commercial proposals.Participate in internal bid strategy discussions and suggest value engineering options.Support bid clarifications and negotiations by providing technical and commercial inputs.Documentation & Risk Assessment
Prepare and validate the E&I sections of technical proposals, scope narratives, risk registers, and cost breakdowns.Assess project risks (technical, commercial, vendor-related) and recommend mitigation strategies.Assist in developing benchmarks and cost databases for future projects.Client & Team Coordination
Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align estimation with project execution strategy.Coordinate with OEMs, subcontractors, and system integrators for technical and commercial vetting.Attend client pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering disciplinePMP or Cost Estimation certifications (optional but beneficial)Experience :
8–15 years of experience in E&I estimation for water / wastewater projects, including STP, WTP, pumping stations, or desalination plantsProven track record with EPC or infrastructure contractors / consultants in India or overseas marketsSkills Required
