Position Overview :
We are looking for a seasoned and driven Head of Institutional Sales to lead and expand the institutional equities distribution platform at a leading global investment institution. This is a senior leadership role focused on deepening client relationships, delivering tailored equity solutions and driving strategic growth across priority markets. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in institutional equity sales, well-established industry relationships and a comprehensive understanding of global equity markets.
The firm has a strong international footprint with offices in key financial countries including Singapore, Dubai and India and manages a global client base with an Assets Under Management (AUM) of approximately USD 4 billion. Backed by a diversified portfolio of investment solutions and a long-standing presence across major markets, the firm serves a wide range of institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales Strategy : Develop and execute sales strategies to increase the firm's market share and revenue in the institutional equities market. Build and maintain relationships with institutional clients.
- Market Analysis : Stay informed about market trends, economic developments and the competitive landscape. Use this information to make informed decisions about trading strategies and client interactions.
- Monitor ongoing market opportunity, client structure, understand and analyze client's demand and investment objective, liaise with structuring desk to propose idea generation, illustrate trade strategies and ideas to client, follow up progress and holdings closely till execution and provide proper after-trade service.
- Identify market trends, client needs and new business opportunities to expand the firm's equity distribution footprint.
- Main coverage of asset managers, trust & insurance companies and other non-banking institutions including corporates.
- Liaise with equity research analysts, host corporate and participate in marketing and roadshow events
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors.
- Ensure legal & compliance with all regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Develops and monitors pricing models and initiates trade corrections / price improvements as necessary.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences and client meetings.
- Recruit, manage and mentor a high-performing institutional sales team.
Qualifications & Experience :
15+ years of experience in institutional equity sales or related roles in capital markets or wealth business.Proven track record of managing large institutional relationships and delivering revenue.Deep understanding of global equity markets, products and client dynamics.Strong leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to build, manage and grow high-performing teams in a dynamic and competitive environment.Existing relationships with major institutional investors across key markets is highly desirable.Prior experience in a multinational or global investment institution is preferred.MBA, CFA, or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.Reporting To : As per the reporting structure (India MD & CEO).
