About this Role

We are looking for a collaborative and skilled individual to lead the architecture and management of private cloud platforms. This role involves designing and implementing virtualised computing resources, container orchestration platforms, and automation frameworks, while ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to align platform strategies with organisational goals and drive innovation in cloud-native application delivery.

Who are you

• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing private cloud environments, with a strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS models.
• Expertise in hypervisors such as VMware and KVM, container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes, and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud integration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and the ability to integrate security controls into cloud architectures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to lead change management initiatives and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Grade 12 is essential.
• A 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification is preferable.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in private cloud architecture, virtualisation, and containerisation.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.
