Description

We are seeking an experienced API Performance Tester to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing methodologies and tools, with a focus on ensuring the scalability and efficiency of our API services.

Responsibilities

Design and implement performance test strategies for APIs.
Conduct load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing for APIs.
Analyze and interpret performance test results, providing recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize API performance.
Create and maintain performance test plans, scripts, and documentation.
Monitor API performance in production environments and report on key metrics.
Participate in code reviews and ensure performance considerations are integrated into the development process.

Skills and Qualifications

6-10 years of experience in API performance testing or related field.

Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.

Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services and their performance characteristics.

Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.

Knowledge of performance monitoring tools like New Relic, AppDynamics, or Grafana.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
