We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer (SDE 2) with expertise in PHP frameworks, frontend development, and database management. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in software development, particularly in creating and maintaining web applications. This role is based in Goa and offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic work environment.

Details :

Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend modules and intuitive frontend components, ensuring performance, quality, and delivery of business-critical retail applications.
Collaborate with product, QA, and cross-functional teams to implement product roadmap, automate testing, and ensure reliability of high-performing applications.
Own modules end-to-end, conduct peer code reviews, enhance system scalability, and participate in agile processes including sprints, standups, and retrospectives.

Key Skills : Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.

Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Create and optimize database schemas and queries using MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality features on time.

Write unit tests and maintain documentation for code and processes.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2-6 years of professional experience in software development, specifically with PHP frameworks.

Proficiency in frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).

Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
