Job description

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead our sourcing efforts for OEM components, materials, and services. This role is essential for developing and executing effective sourcing strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement to support our product development and manufacturing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing :

  • Lead sourcing efforts for OEM components , materials, and services to support product development and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
  • Analyze market trends , identify new sourcing opportunities, and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.

Supplier Management :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers, driving supplier performance , quality, and delivery standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with OEM suppliers to secure competitive pricing , favorable terms, and optimized supply chain performance.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits.

    • Cost Optimization & Procurement :

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, logistics, etc.) to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements in the procurement process.
  • Develop and manage the sourcing budget, ensuring that procurement activities stay within cost and time constraints.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, procurement, and supplier management processes.

    • Risk Management :

  • Identify potential supply chain risks , including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors, and develop mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies related to sourcing, contracts, and supplier relationships.

    • Cross-functional Collaboration :

  • Collaborate with product development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of OEM components.
  • Provide strategic sourcing insights and recommendations to leadership and other departments to support decision-making.

    • Data & Reporting :

  • Use data analytics and sourcing tools to track and report sourcing performance, supplier trends, and cost-saving metrics.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and budget status.

    • Skills Required

    Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering .

    • Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in an OEM or manufacturing environment .
  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost optimization initiatives .
  • Familiarity with OEM sourcing strategies , global supply chains, and industry-specific standards and regulations.
