Financial Analyst Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to set up and automate our financial systems. This individual will integrate Xero with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for real-time financial tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
This position is ideal for someone with advanced skills in Excel (including VBA, Power Query, Power BI) or Google Sheets (including Apps Script, Data Studio / Looker Studio).
- A strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting is essential.
- Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, Power Automate) is beneficial.
- An analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to design scalable financial systems are required.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are necessary.
The responsibilities of this role include :
Integrating Xero with Excel or Google Sheets for real-time transaction syncing and categorization.Building automated dashboards for budgeting, cash flow, income forecasting, and month-on-month reporting.Designing and automating financial templates that minimize manual input and errors.Developing automation scripts using Visual Basic (VBA) for Excel or Apps Script for Google Sheets.Advising on best practices for data management, reconciliation, and chart of accounts setup.Implementing automation workflows for periodic updates and report generation.Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and secure handling across systems.Additionally, experience with Python and SQL knowledge would be an advantage.
