Job descriptionMaster’s degree or Ph.D. in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Operations Research or related) OR equivalent relevant professional experience 8+ years of deep, hands-on, experience building and operationalizing ML / AI products. Advanced degrees in relevant fields may be counted towards experience requirements. Including : 4+ years of MLOps / AIOps experience, operationalizing real-time ML / AI models with ultra-low latency and high throughput, as resilient, scalable, cloud native services, with engineering excellence. 4+ years of experience leading end to end design reviews, code reviews, and deployment patterns for critical AI applications in one or more of Gen AI, Supervised learning, Unsupervised Learning and Reinforcement Learning domains 4+ years of hands-on experience on Google Cloud Platform, building and maintaining ML / AI solutions with production grade pipelines. Expert level understanding of Python ecosystem and common AI / ML frameworks (LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Seldon-Core…) Expert level, hands-on coding expertise in Python and SQL Expert level knowledge of MLOps / AIOps concepts and CI / CD pipelines Multi-cloud and multi-region integration experience Relevant certifications Open-source contributions or robust GitHub portfolio This position is based in Bengaluru. Best Buy™ India operates under a hybrid work model (in office / remote) with an expectation for employees to be in the office three days a week – Generally, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a global organization, maintaining collaboration across the globe is a key proposition. Within the framework of established guidelines, employees may be required to engage in extended hours during critical periods.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead operationalization of large-scale AI solutions, being the resident expert for all AI Engineering and AIOps challenges, partnering closely with AI Scientists
- Lead by example, inspire and guide AI Engineers leveraging the best AIOps / MLOps techniques to activate AI solutions at enterprise scale, solving real business problems benefitting millions of Best Buy customers daily
- Deeply hands on, utilizing extensive knowledge of software engineering and AI to contribute to the roadmap of Best Buy’s core AI capabilities.
- Partner with global cross-functional teams including AI, data, platforms, products, analytics, business and compliance
- Comprehend complex technical and business problems in high pressure scenarios, connecting the larger enterprise goals to teams’ tactical deliverables.
