Role Overview
The Assistant General Manager – Sales & Marketing will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading business development, strengthening brand presence, and managing a high-performance sales & marketing team. The role demands strategic vision, execution excellence, and a customer-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead the Sales & Marketing division with clear revenue & growth targets.
- Develop & implement sales strategies for domestic & international markets .
- Identify new business opportunities in crane controls, heavy machinery & industrial solutions .
- Manage key accounts & customer relationships , ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Drive negotiation, pricing strategies, and closing of high-value deals.
Marketing & Strategy
Build and execute brand positioning & marketing campaigns (online & offline).Conduct market analysis, competitor bench marking & trend forecasting .Support product launches and ensure alignment with customer needs.Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and technical forums .Team & Leadership
Mentor, guide, and inspire the sales & marketing team to achieve performance goals.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity .Establish performance metrics, reporting systems, and accountability frameworks.Business Development
Expand the company’s footprint in new geographies & customer segments .Collaborate with R&D / engineering teams to align customer feedback with product development.Build strategic partnerships with OEMs, EPC contractors, and industry stakeholders.Qualifications & Skills
Education
MBA in Sales / Marketing OR B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics (preferred with management degree).Experience
Minimum 10–15 years in Sales & Marketing in industrial / engineering sectors.At least 5+ years in a leadership role handling a large sales team.Proven track record in the crane industry, material handling, or heavy equipment segment is strongly preferred.Core Skills
