Oracle CPQ Developer / Consultant (6‑9 years)
Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Oracle CPQ Developer with 6–9 years of hands-on experience to help design, build, and maintain enterprise-level CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and other technical teams to implement scalable CPQ configurations, integrate CPQ with downstream systems, and ensure the CPQ environment aligns with sales and quoting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Configuration
- Lead the configuration of CPQ modules, including product configuration, commerce flows, pricing, and quotes.
- Design complex product models, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and rule-based configurations.
- Implement pricing strategies, discounting logic, and price books.
- Development & Customization
- Develop in BigMachines Language (BML) and BMQL for business logic, validation, constraints, and calculation rules.
- Create and maintain Document Designer templates (XSL, CSS, HTML) for quote documents.
- Develop user interface customizations using JavaScript, CSS, and possibly Java / JQuery.
- Integration
- Integrate Oracle CPQ with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, SAP) via web services (SOAP / REST).
- Design APIs or middleware logic to support data flow between CPQ and external systems.
- Testing & Deployment
- Prepare and execute unit testing and integration testing for CPQ components.
- Support deployment, migration, and version control of CPQ configurations across environments.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance or functional issues in production CPQ systems.
- Solution Architecture & Optimization
- Participate in solution design workshops with business analysts and architects.
- Propose improvements to CPQ architecture, optimize rule execution, and ensure stability and scalability.
- Ensure CPQ implementations adhere to best practices, security, and compliance standards.
- Support & Maintenance
- Provide ongoing support for CPQ issues, enhancement requests, and production incident resolution.
- Mentor junior CPQ developers or functional consultants, sharing best practices and coding standards.
- Documentation & Collaboration
- Document solution designs, technical decisions, and development work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, QA, Sales, IT) to ensure cohesive delivery.
- Participate in agile ceremonies if the team follows Scrum / Agile methodology.
Required Skills & Experience
6–9 years of experience in Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) implementation and development.Strong expertise in CPQ modules : Configuration, Commerce, Pricing, Document Designer.Proficiency in BML / BMQL, data tables, validation / hiding / constraint rules.Experience with integration technologies : SOAP / REST web-services, XML, XSL.Solid understanding of product modeling, quoting workflows, and pricing engines.Hands-on experience with front-end technologies : JavaScript, CSS, HTML.Experience in CPQ environment deployments, migrations, and version control.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience with Agile / Scrum development lifecycle is a plus.Good-to-Have
Oracle CPQ certification.Experience with Oracle CX Cloud suite (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) or other CPQ platforms.Exposure to DevOps, CI / CD practices in CPQ deployments.Experience in performance tuning and optimization of CPQ systems.Understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and data governance in CPQ solutions.Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
