About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef specializing in Japanese cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of authentic Japanese cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles, while also being able to lead and support the kitchen team in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and executing Japanese menus.
- Ensure authenticity and high-quality standards in all Japanese dishes (sushi, sashimi, tempura, ramen, etc.).
- Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff in Japanese cooking techniques.
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Manage inventory, stock rotation, and cost control for Japanese ingredients.
- Support in menu innovation and seasonal specials.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in Japanese cuisine.Strong knowledge of Japanese culinary traditions, ingredients, and presentation.Leadership and team management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Culinary degree / certification preferred.Why Join Us
