Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our team at Scholarlify’s corporate office in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of experience who are keen to build a career in finance within a fast-growing social impact startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting records.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoicing and client billing.
- Prepare and process invoices, payment runs, and vendor follow-ups.
- Handle bank reconciliation and maintain cashbooks.
- Assist in payroll coordination and related statutory deductions.
- Support monthly / month-end closing activities and basic financial reporting.
- Assist with GST filings, TDS computations, and other statutory compliance support.
- Prepare expense reports, maintain petty cash, and track reimbursements.
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and financial plan inputs for programs.
- Liaise with auditors and support audit documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing (digital & physical).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting (B.Com, BBA Finance) or related field. (M.Com / CA-Inter / ICWA-Inter is a plus).0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or related functions.Candidates who have completed articleship or internship in a CA firm will have an added advantage.Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar) and strong Excel skills.Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.Excellent numerical ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive attitude, ownership mindset, and eagerness to learn in a startup environment.Why Join Scholarlify?
