Job Summary :
The Assistant Sales Manager will assist in planning and executing the hotel's sales strategies to maximize revenue across rooms, banquet spaces, and other facilities. The role involves managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with the Sales Manager to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Sales and Business Development :
- Assist in developing and implementing sales plans to drive revenue growth.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other channels.
- Promote the hotel's services, packages, and amenities to existing and potential clients.
- Conduct sales presentations, site visits, and client meetings to close deals.
2. Client Relationship Management :
Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and loyalty.Handle client inquiries, provide customized solutions, and address concerns promptly.Act as a key contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.3. Market Research and Competitive Analysis :
Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.Work with the Sales Manager to adjust sales strategies based on market dynamics.Participate in local and international trade shows, networking events, and conferences to promote the hotel.4. Team Collaboration and Coordination :
Collaborate with the Reservations, Banquet, and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of client expectations.Assist in managing and mentoring junior sales team members to achieve their targets.Provide feedback and insights to the Sales Manager to refine sales strategies and improve performance.5. Contracting and Negotiations :
Assist in negotiating contracts, pricing, and packages with clients.Ensure all sales agreements align with the hotel's policies and profitability goals.6. Reporting and Performance Tracking :
Prepare sales performance reports and forecasts for the Sales Manager.Monitor and track sales team performance, identifying areas for improvement.Ensure timely updates of client interactions and bookings in the CRM system.Key Requirements :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience : 3–6 years in hotel sales or similar roles, with proven experience in business development and client management.Skills :
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.Proficiency in sales and hotel management software.Analytical skills to evaluate market trends and sales performance.Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.Other Requirements : Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and sales events.
