Position Summary :
The Area Sales Manager - B2B will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic channel partnerships, and expanding Lafit's presence across the assigned territory. This is a high-impact role for a proven sales leader with a deep understanding of the lighting industry and B2B sales dynamics.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy & Execution :
- Develop and execute a robust area sales strategy aligned with national business goals.
- Achieve aggressive sales and profitability targets through channel expansion and project acquisition.
- Identify new business opportunities within B2B verticals, including institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Channel Development & Relationship Management
- Expand Lafit's network through dealers, distributors, and strategic retail partners.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with architects, lighting consultants, electrical contractors, builders, and developers.
- Ensure consistent engagement with key accounts and decision-makers to strengthen brand presence and loyalty.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the area sales team to deliver excellence in performance and customer engagement.
- Establish clear sales KPIs, incentive programs, and training initiatives to enhance productivity and morale.
- Conduct regular sales reviews, pipeline assessments, and market feedback sessions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, R&D, production, and quality teams to deliver tailored lighting solutions.
- Provide market insights, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback to influence product and marketing strategies.
- Ensure seamless coordination with supply chain and operations to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Business Operations & Reporting; Oversee pricing strategy, collections, and credit control within the region.
- Analyze regional sales data to track performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare periodic business reviews and growth forecasts for senior management.
Qualifications & Experience :
MBA in Sales & Marketing (Bachelor's in Engineering or related technical field preferred).Minimum 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales within the lighting or electrical industry.Strong understanding of dealer and project-based sales models.Demonstrated ability to build and manage channel networks and high-value client relationships.Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and an entrepreneurial mindset.(ref : iimjobs.com)
