Key Responsibilities :
Industrial Engineering & Process Planning :
- Drive lean and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing lines.
- Develop, implement, and improve integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.
- Conduct work measurement studies, line balancing, and process optimization.
- Design efficient workstation layouts incorporating ergonomics, NIOSH standards, and operator efficiency principles.
Manufacturing & Equipment Management :
Plan, procure, and commission manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.Lead new product introductions and process implementations, ensuring right-first-time (RFT) production at lowest cost.Execute capacity expansion projects and manage CAPEX investments.Manage indirect purchases, tool crib, and vendor relationships.Controls Engineering & Automation :
Oversee installation, programming, and upgrades of control systems including PLCs, HMI, motion control, servo systems, and robotics.Integrate shop floor control systems with MES and ERP platforms.Implement smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.Quality & Problem Solving :
Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement projects using CAPA and quality improvement tools.Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards, including ISO and IATF certifications.Conduct statistical analysis, data-driven decision-making, and process documentation.Capacity Planning & Layout Management :
Develop and implement strategic and tactical capacity systems.Collaborate with operations, NPI, R&D, and sales for production scheduling and ramp planning.Lead factory layout planning for greenfield and brownfield projects.Optimize equipment utilization and space allocation for scalability.Team Development & Training :
Mentor and coach young industrial and manufacturing engineers.Conduct technical training for shop floor teams on processes, ergonomics, and controls.Skills Required
