This is for a Principal Site Reliability Engineer (IC / Engineering role)
Primary Responsibilities :
- Apply engineering approach to lead and manage the performance, security, observability and reliability of our system
- Develop and implement strategy to optimize system performance, incorporating next gen AI tools for development, security and operational frameworks
- Manage the Implementation and evolution of security measures
Enforce operational discipline across teams to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for data protection. Achieve near 100% database uptime and availability
Facilitate implementation to continuously improve operational reliability of the cloud infrastructureManage availability, performance, monitoring and Infra Provisioning targets for the Platform which comprises of Cloud infrastructure and On Prem technologiesClosely partner with Engineering and Technical Support teams to drive resolution of critical issuesRequires excellent communication skills, clarity of thought and ability to take decisions based on available information and communicate with senior business and technology leadersManage disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime and data integritySolid technical and personal mentorshipComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and / or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and / or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and / or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field12+ years of overall IT experienceExperience in highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc) and meeting compliance frameworks (PCI, NIST, ICFR / SOC2, COBIT etc)Proficient in common development languages or scripting tools (such as JavaScript, JQuery, ReactJS, TypeScript, SCS, NodeJS, Angular JS, HTML, CSS, .Net, Python, Terraform, Ansible, etc..)Demonstrated experience managing observability frameworks and implementing observability pipelines, configuring log analytics and implementing automatic alerting thresholds
Proven good oral and written communication SkillsProven ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skillsProven ability to quickly learn new technologies and leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problemsDemonstrated systems thinking with an automation first approachPreferred Qualifications :
Experience with Splunk, Data Dog, Dynatrace and GrafanaExperience implementing FinOps practices and toolsExperience working in a large matrixed environmentSolid familiarity with IAC implementation leveraging CI / CD frameworksDemonstrated customer experience focus#NIC
