Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Expert - Level 1 with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of virtualization concepts, hands-on experience with various hypervisors, and a strong background in supporting Linux environments. This role requires exceptional technical proficiency in backup solutions and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience. You will be responsible for providing a superior customer experience, building long-lasting relationships, and delivering prompt, effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Support & Troubleshooting :
- Provide expert-level technical support for backup and recovery-related issues, partnering with customers, end-users, and resellers.
- Work with a variety of Linux and Unix variants (CentOS, Ubuntu, OES, etc.), performing tasks such as disk utilization analysis, file editing, and hardware diagnostics.
- Diagnose and resolve technical errors related to backup solutions Work with Postgres SQL databases and open-source Linux tools such as openVPN, fuse,
docker, flashcache, fio, quemu, and Interaction :
Listen attentively to understand customer perspectives, take ownership of issues, and set proper, realistic expectations.Provide a superior customer experience through excellent chat support and strong typing & Foundational Knowledge :Understand and communicate in-depth technical concepts, including backup strategies, deduplication, WAN replication, NAS / SAN storage, and cloud-related concepts.Apply your knowledge of virtualization concepts, working within various hypervisors like VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, and Skills & Qualifications :Core Experience :
5+ years of professional experience in a technical support Technical Skills :Strong experience with backup solutions, including SaaS and appliance-based tools.Proven experience working with multiple hypervisors, specifically VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix,and XenServer.
Proficiency in CentOS, Ubuntu, and other Unix / Linux variants, including tasks like reading andinterpreting log files and networking.
Experience with chat support and strong typing Attributes :Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.A customer-centric mindset focused on building long-term Skills :Experience with a variety of backup technologies.Strong skills in SQL and Linux.(ref : hirist.tech)
