Key Job Responsibilities-
- Underwriting of Medical and Non-Medical cases as per the guidelines.
- Assessment of risk as per the company's philosophy and supporting guidelines.
- Adhering to agreed TAT for processing of cases.
- Maintaining quality of underwriting
- Handling of projects allocated.
- Mentoring of underwriters
- Adhering to authorized limits and maintaining uniformity in underwriting
- Active participation in revision of underwriting guidelines and process
- Managing Centralized and Decentralized underwriting audits, responsible for accuracy compliance.
- Managing Retail Underwriting activity ensuring the TATs and Quality percentages are complied with.
- Managing the responsibility of designing / modifying the existing Underwriting guidelines of Life Insurance
- Coach and monitor Team leads in day-to-day operations.
- Analyze reports for team performance on processes.
- Escalate issues in a timely manner across functions and suggest alternative approach
- Enhancement of underwriting knowledge through reference manuals, trainings, exams and other available means.
