Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred). 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-growing startup or tech environment. Strong knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books or similar ERP systems. Solid understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation (GST, TDS), and compliance. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our high-performance Finance team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency as DriveU scales rapidly across India.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable / receivable, and journal entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closures.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements and internal reporting standards.
- Oversee GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting, cost analysis, and internal audits.
- Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and government authorities as needed.
- Drive process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy.
