About the Role :
This role is ideal for professionals with 1–5 years of experience in dry bulk chartering, coastal movements, or broking. The candidate will be responsible for vessel and cargo matching, market analysis, and supporting negotiations to close profitable fixtures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in fixing vessels for dry bulk cargoes across Indian coastal and international routes.
- Support charter party negotiations and documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, operators, and cargo clients.
- Track market trends, freight rates, and vessel positions.
- Prepare voyage estimations, freight quotes, and fixture summaries.
- Coordinate with operations and post-fixture teams for smooth execution.
- Contribute to cargo pooling and freight optimization strategies.
Requirements :
1–5 years of experience in chartering or broking (dry bulk preferred).Strong understanding of vessel types, trade routes, and freight markets.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Excel, email correspondence, and chartering platforms.Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.Preferred Qualifications :
Degree / Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, or related field.Exposure to Indian coastal trade and commodities like coal, iron ore, limestone, etc.Familiarity with Baltic Exchange, Shipnext, or similar platforms.Minimum qualification - Graduation
