Studio Diseno Innovative - Software Test Engineer - POSTMAN

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Software Test Engineer with strong experience in manual testing and API testing using Postman.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in validating both front-end and back-end functionalities, focusing on creating and executing test cases, performing functional and regression testing, and ensuring robust API validations.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and provide timely feedback, ensuring defects are detected early in the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

• Understand business and functional requirements to design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications, ensuring functional, usability, and regression coverage.
• Use Postman to design, execute, and automate API test cases, validating endpoints, response structures, and integrations.
• Identify, log, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and potential usability issues.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support integration testing across different systems and environments.
• Contribute to test documentation including test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, embedding quality practices in agile workflows.
• Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing, maintaining traceability to business and Skills :
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 - 6 years of experience in software testing with strong focus on manual testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, including creating collections, writing assertions, and working with environment variables.
• Good knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect management lifecycle.
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Understanding of client-server architecture, RESTful APIs, and JSON / XML data formats.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in cross-functional agile teams.
