Lead Master Planning

Responsibilities

Project Development and Implementation :

Lead the development and implementation of large-scale masterplanning and landscape design projects.

Oversee the creation of detailed plans, drawings, and 3D models for landscape architecture projects.

Supervise the construction and installation of landscape designs to ensure they match the original plan.

Prepare and present detailed reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.

Integrate sustainability principles into all design projects, particularly on environmentally sensitive sites.

Collaboration And Coordination

Collaborate with architects, urban designers, engineers, and city planners to ensure cohesive and sustainable designs.

Facilitate communication between various stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.

Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.

Engage with community stakeholders to gather input and address concerns regarding landscape projects.

Work with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials and services.

Research And Innovation

Conduct research and analysis on environmental conditions, land use, and zoning regulations.

Conduct research on emerging trends in landscape architecture and environmental design.

Stay updated with current design trends, technologies, and regulations.

Explore innovative materials and techniques to enhance landscape design quality.

Evaluate the impact of design decisions on the environment and community well-being.

Implement best practices in sustainable design and landscape management.

Budget Management

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.

Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or sustainability.

Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting and financial planning.

Review and approve invoices and payments related to landscape projects.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.

Digitization And Automation

Lead and execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimise operational efficiency.

Innovate and implement automation solutions to support overall organisational goals / strategy.

Review and implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Utilize digital tools for project management and collaboration to enhance productivity.

People And Team Engagement

Participate in the recruitment process to attract and retain skilled personnel for the landscape architecture team.

Drive and enhance employee engagement across the team to sustain a positive workplace culture.

Lead, inspire, and mentor the team to foster a high-performance culture and ensure cross-skilling through job rotation, technical and behavioral training.

Ensure proper succession planning in the team.

Foster a conducive environment for high employee retention by ensuring team satisfaction and professional development.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications

Education Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) and a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture; Chartered status with the Landscape Institute preferred.

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

15+ years of experience in urban design or related fields with proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, and parametric planning and design tools.

Preferred Industry

Experience in a consulting or design firm with professional licensure in landscape architecture or a related field.
