Job Summary :
The Associate Professor in the MLT Department will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding research and projects, developing academic curriculum, and contributing to departmental and institutional growth. The role also includes mentoring junior faculty, fostering collaborations with healthcare and diagnostic laboratories, and engaging in academic research and publications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Teach and develop course content in areas of Clinical Biochemistry, Hematology, Pathology, Immunology, and Advanced Diagnostic Techniques .
- Supervise and mentor UG, PG, and research students in their academic and research projects.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies, practical demonstrations, and laboratory-based learning.
- Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputed journals and contribute to the academic reputation of the department.
- Guide junior faculty members and contribute to faculty development.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and professional ethics in medical laboratory practice.
- Collaborate with hospitals, diagnostic centers, and healthcare industries for student internships, training, and placements.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum design, examinations, and academic administration.
Qualifications & Experience :
Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) / Medical Biochemistry / related discipline.Ph.D. in a relevant specialization.Minimum 8 years of teaching / research / industry experience.Strong research profile with publications in indexed journals.Experience in curriculum development, laboratory setup, and use of modern diagnostic equipment.Participation in professional bodies / associations related to medical laboratory sciences.Skills & Competencies :
Strong subject knowledge in MLT specializations.Excellent teaching, communication, and mentoring skills.Research aptitude with the ability to secure grants and publish work.Proficiency in laboratory management, quality control, and safety practices.Ability to work in a team and contribute to departmental growth
