Subject Matter Expert - Chemistry

We are looking for a subject-savvy and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our academic content team at ALLEN Digital. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for ensuring academic accuracy, conceptual clarity, and pedagogical effectiveness across a wide range of content formats. You will work closely with instructional designers, animators, and content creators to translate curriculum-aligned material into engaging, visually structured learning content. This role is ideal for educators or academic professionals with strong subject knowledge and a passion for simplifying concepts for digital learning in a fast-paced EdTech environment.

Responsibilities

Provide academic insights and support in script creation and content planning.

Support the content creation team by providing accurate academic input.

Collaborate with PPT designers and animators to ensure conceptual clarity.

Translate curriculum-aligned content into visually and pedagogically effective formats.

Conduct the first level of quality checks and identify factual or pedagogical errors.

Coordinate with research faculty and creative teams in breaking down complex topics and meeting project goals.

Support in creating visuals, examples, and exercises wherever required.

Support the creative team with diagrams, illustrations, or other teaching aids.

Skills & Experience

2-7 years of experience in EdTech or academic content development.

Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.

Needs to have expertise in the 9th and 10th standard curriculum.

Basic understanding of instructional design and multimedia content.

Strong communication, teamwork, and feedback-handling skills.

Ability to simplify and structure concepts for visual formats like PPTs and animations.

Solid understanding of relevant AI tools and platforms, with the ability to use them for improving productivity and creativity is essential.
