Associate Manager-Direct tax

Job descriptionIdentify and support business on various direct tax matters Represent company before tax authorities – tax assessments Ensure adequate and timely reply to tax notices, assessment, reassessment, appeal or investigation proceedings Co-ordination with tax consultants Assist in automation and setting processes related to direct tax matters Advance Tax working (quarterly) and timely payment Calculation of quarterly tax provisions, effective tax rate working and deferred tax workings Reconciliation of numbers related to tax provisions, tax returns and tax orders thereby giving relevant information to the accounting team Oversee TDS and TCS Working; payment on timely basis and filing of quarterly TDS statements Preparation of data for Tax audits, assistance in preparation of tax computation, ITR filling & filing and reporting for tax numbers for financials Assistance in collation of data in relation to finalizing Transfer pricing study reports, Form 3CEB Income-TDS reconciliation of books vs Form 26AS Stay updated on changes to tax laws Qualification –Chartered Accountant 2-5 Years of experience in Direct Tax Work experience (business partnering experience preferred) Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills Ensure 100% tax compliance Effective management of tax risk and efficiencies
