Title : US Tax – Senior Associate - Individual Tax (1040)

Location – Bangalore (work from office)

Job Summary : The primary role of a Senior Associate is to review moderate to complex tax returns prepared by Associates and Advanced associates. Senior tax associates should foster a collaborative relationship with associates and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Display a good level of understanding of basic and moderate tax concepts on individual tax returns (1040) , and continuously enhance tax knowledge for associates and advanced associates through client work and staying up-to-date with tax developments.
  • Ensure to have exceptional quality and ensure timely delivery of tasks assigned to associates.
  • Train and assist associates and advanced associates with their questions on day to day basis.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on individual tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with the teams in India and in the US.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects, as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Skills Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching abilities.
  • Worked on US individual tax returns with complex situations and worked on High-Net-worth Individuals (HNIs)
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8621, 5471, 1116, 2555, 6252, and Passthrough reporting.
  • Able to manage a team and the team’s workflow.

    Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Individual taxation (1040)
