A Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, including managing staff, creating menus, handling inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability. Key duties include managing budgets, enforcing health and safety regulations, developing marketing strategies, and working with kitchen staff and suppliers to maintain high-quality service and food standards. Core responsibilities
- Operational oversight : Manage the day-to-day operations of restaurants, bars, cafes, and catering services.
- Staff management : Hire, train, and schedule food and beverage staff, and delegate tasks to team members.
- Menu planning : Collaborate with chefs to design appealing and profitable menus, which may include seasonal or promotional items.
- Inventory and ordering : Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage relationships with vendors to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products.
- Financial management : Analyze financial reports, manage department budgets, and implement strategies to increase revenue and control costs.
- Customer service : Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by handling complaints, maintaining service standards, and building relationships with regular customers.
- Compliance : Ensure all operations comply with food safety regulations and health standards.
- Marketing and events : Assist with marketing initiatives and coordinate food and beverage services for special events and functions.
