To ensure the delivery of high-quality software through meticulous test planning, execution, and defect reporting. The Senior Tester will lead test activities, contribute to test strategies, mentor junior testers, and collaborate closely with development teams to uphold software quality across the SDLC. Additionally, knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is desirable to support validation of industry-specific workflows, integrations, and production floor functionalities in manufacturing-focused projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Lead manual and automated testing efforts across various platforms (web, mobile, API, desktop).
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Participate in requirements reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, BA, PM, DevOps) to ensure clarity on requirements and timelines.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Support test automation efforts; write and maintain scripts in tools such as Selenium, Postman, or JMeter.
- Mentor junior testers and review their test cases and results.
- Ensure compliance with QA standards, processes, and best practices.
- Provide test estimates and contribute to test strategy and planning.
- Contribute to the testing of MES applications and validate shop floor workflows, data capture, and system integration with ERP platforms.
- Work closely with manufacturing and business teams to understand MES use cases, system behaviors, and ensure production-readiness of MES functionalities.
